[He hadn't meant to stay out all night, he'd found himself with a book in the library and then a couple hours turned into five and he decided there was no harm in staying there to finish.

Unfortunately, somewhere between finishing the book and setting his head down for a minute, he'd fallen asleep there at the table; by the time he woke up it was morning already. It was morning and a curse had fallen on Vatheon.

He first noticed it when he sat up. It wasn't the first time he'd dealt with having boobs, but this was the first time they were actually his. Hers. Whatever. He buttoned up the middle button-the same one Rayfelle usually kept close so he didn't go around flashing every person on the street- and searched for a mirror.

Sure enough, when he found one, the face of Rayfelle looked back at him. "You've got to be kidding me." even his voice had gotten higher....and he was pretty certain he was shorter now.

The only thing he could do now was to head home. There was one plus to this, at least: he could enjoy the look on Sola's face when he saw~! He paused when he walked in, listening for where he might find his Hylian boyfriend. The kitchen. That made sense, it was morning, he was probably looking for something to eat.

He gathered all the stealth he possessed-even in this new form-and crept up on him, hoping his sensitive hearing wouldn't pick him up and ruin his fun. As soon as he was close enough, he reached out to cover Sola's eyes and pulled him back against his newly-endowed chest.]

Hello, handsome~

[He'd always been the type to keep his feet on the ground and his head in the clouds, but he'd never thought to keep his eyes on the stars. As far as he was concerned, the stars were there to watch over you, not to visit...but here he was, on a space station.

It actually wasn't too bad. A little strange in some parts, but fairly homey in others. He hadn't really gone around making acquaintances just yet, but that was part of why he was out and about now. It was the hour that most people wandered around the station, socializing, maybe he would find someone of interest.

If not, he got a decent walk out of it.]

[He could have sworn he'd been crushed. He'd been running down that passage way with the others and he'd...he'd stopped. He'd stopped in the middle of that attack and he let that cave-in fall on him.

And yet, here he was, in the middle of a bustling, futuristic, city. It was night...but a part of him vaguely wished it wasn't. It didn't matter. He was in a new place again. He'd lost Sola...and he'd lost everyone else too. He really wouldn't have minded if it just stopped.

He was so tired.

Still, unless he was going to find someone who would cut off his head or stab him in the heart, he wasn't going to get anywhere standing on this street corner.

The vampire found a way up onto a roof so he could look around. What he saw was technologically breath-taking. It was a mixture of modern and sci-fi and, if he'd been feeling himself, he might have been more fascinated. As it was, he was momentarily taken aback by the sight, but then moved on to trying to find...something.

The sight of a park in the middle of the city drew his eye, it wasn't like it was going to have answers for him, but right now he didn't want answers. He didn't care what this place was called or who was in it, but the idea of sitting around nature was the only thing that sounded good.

A flock of bats soared through the sky towards the park, careful not to go to high with all the air vehicles running around, and reformed in the branches of a tree in the middle of the park. This would do for now.]

[Marie ran her fingers through the hair of her new pet. The taste of his blood was still on her lips and she smiled as she wiped the bit of her own blood from his. The wound she'd opened in her wrist had long since closed and now she was just waiting for him to awaken.

It would be better this way. He could stay with her and Rayflo forever now and nothing would ever hurt him. He was so sweet. So kind. And now he was hers. Rayflo wouldn't mind. She knew he loved the boy as she did, he would understand and be happy. He would smile at her like he used to, that smile he saved just for her whenever he'd come back from a journey and she would run to greet him. He'd smile and call her his princess.

Now she could have her knight and her prince! A happy family that could live together.

Marie smiled a little wider and hummed a tune Rayflo used to hum to her when the nightmares came for her. No nightmare touched her now and there would be none for Sola either.]

[He sat by the edge of the bubble, back to the cold barrier and eyes trained on the nearest tree, unseeing.

It had been three weeks since he'd come back and torn out the throat of that local who'd only been trying to help. It had been so long since he'd let himself get that hungry and he had no where to turn to for his lust....not until that poor woman had gotten a little too close, smelled a little too sweet, the blood flowing through her veins was a siren's call to his starved body.

His fangs had sliced through her neck and killed the cries in her throat as they snuffed out the life in her body.

He'd drained her dry, something else he hadn't done in ages.

And even after he'd regained his senses and sat there with her in his arms...even after everyone had known what he'd done, how much they were wrong, because he was a monster, always had been, always would be....even after all of that....they'd comforted him. They'd said it wasn't his fault, that this didn't make him a monster.

He couldn't believe it. He couldn't accept and attempt to process as he had before, this was too much. Either everyone here was too stupid or too perfect....either way...they couldn't.....they couldn't possibly be real.

No one would sweep something like that aside and call something like him a friend.

It wasn't possible.

There was really only one option left, one thing left in his swirling mind that made sense, that could reconcile how incredibly impossible this all was: he really had lost his mind at some point and had broken. and that break had caused his mind, in it's own defence, to create a perfect world where a vampire could have friends and a boyfriend and people he could rely on and they would always love him no matter what.

Sola, Otoha, Serph, Crowley, Maddie, Azi, Ky, Fai,Toki, Vatheon...it was all fake. A world he'd created to escape. He was probably currently stuck in the torturous hands of Barry, the demon's plaything for all eternity, and his mind had just given up.

It made sense.

And it made him cold. Everything, the trees, the faces he'd grown to love and trust....it was all fake. There was no such thing as an Eden.

All of this had only broken him further and he'd pulled away from everything and everyone he 'loved.' It would be easier, when the illusion broke, if he wasn't attached. He just needed to accept this. This was his new reality.]
