It was a madhouse on the streets. No sooner had he stepped out onto them then he was stepping back and throwing an arm out to stop his partner from rushing out into a blast that nearly hit them.

This wasn't going to be easy.

He glanced over his shoulder at her, expression concern, but determination. He'd love nothing more than to tell her to stay out of the fighting, but she was stubborn and unlikely to listen to him anyway; he might as well fight at her side if she was going to fight at all. "You ready?"
